Morrifield Tunnelhouses come standard with a Polythene door and roof vent, with larger models featuring additional ventilation options to ensure optimal airflow. Our kitsets can be customised with windows and back doors to suit your needs, reducing the risk of mildew, mould and fungal diseases. Effective ventilation is crucial, especially during summer months, to maintain a healthy growing environment. For existing tunnelhouse owners, our accessories range offers upgrade options to enhance ventilation. Click here to view our accessories.
In some climates and in the heat of Summer shading your tunnelhouse will regulate the temperature to reduce stress on some plants. Our shade covers offer 30% shade, and this is suitable for growing fruit and vegetables. Too much shade can stop photosynthesis and reduce growing capabilities. If you are growing natives or flowers these may require more percentage of shade, depending on what you are growing.
Annual cleaning of your tunnelhouse ensures optimal light transmission, removing dust, plant residues and mould/mildew. Watch our helpful cleaning video for guidance.
If you’re looking to convert your Polythene Tunnelhouse to a Crop Protection Tunnelhouse, it’s possible with additional parts. However, keep in mind that Polythene Tunnelhouses offer greater versatility for year-round growing, particularly during colder winter months.

Our tunnelhouses are freighted nationwide via Mainfreight. You can collect from any depot with a trailer (approx. 8ft x 4ft or larger) or opt for direct-to-site delivery, subject to location accessibility. *Important, please note:
Our Tunnel houses have been tried & tested in NZ’s harsh weather conditions since 1980. It is very important to provide good wind shelter/protection especially from the North Westerly wind which in some cases is gale force, or your prevailing wind. Having good wind protection and shelter will ensure longevity in most cases, except for major weather events, and including cyclones and tornadoes of which we have no control over.
We cannot guarantee the tunnelhouse and parts against weather events due to the nature of the product and placement or location unfortunately.
Our product is guaranteed for 10 years for the framework and parts, against any manufacturing fault or defect deemed by us that is not satisfactory, excluding the cover which has a 4-year warranty.
The greenhouse is lovely. Thanks you so much. It coped with the high winds we have here. We expect lots of terrific tomatoes.
Hi Morrifield team,
Just want to say thank you and I am very happy with my tunnelhouse. My hubby thought we should lay a concrete edge and bolt it down as we get some fairly good winds. Here, so we have, i have my first lot of veges in and have great plans for winter.
Just a quick note to say I am so pleased with the Morrifield tunnelhouse. I’m in Reefton, we don’t get snow very often but even with this heavy fall (3 inches or so) I am thrilled with the warmth that can be felt in the tunnelhouse, to anyone looking for one.
A great product, the missus is happy, and a bumper crop of tomatoes!
Fantastic product, I love my tunnelhouse and it is so nice having fresh veges/ fruit, I’m still getting strawberries in April! Amazing, highly recommend. Thanks Morrifield
I have four 8m x 2m tunnelhouses and absolutely love them! They extend my growing season in an area where we get very late and early frosts. They are very tough and durable and have held up extremely well in the strong winds that have blown down across the valley from Lake Hawea. Since we got our tunnelhouses we have noticed them popping up like mushrooms in the area. Pretty much every house around us has one now. I cant imagine my vegetable garden without them.
I live in Northland and had winds that downed many trees but the 8 metre tunnelhouse is unscathed by all nature could throw at it. Best gardening investment I’ve ever made.
Both of my Morrifield Tunnelhouses came through cyclone Gabrielle untouched. A 30-year-old walnut tree right beside them was torn out roots and all. Says a lot for the quality of their product.
I am emailing to say a big thank you. We bought 1, 5m and 2 x 10m polytunnels from you and due to life have just finished the first one (5m) Wow! The instructions were clear and the quality of the kitset for me is top notch. Can you please pass on our thanks to all the guys on the floor and, also the amazing customer service from the first contact to the amazing quick delivery. In a world where most people moan when something is wrong. I make a point to thank people when Im impressed so thank you all at Morrifield

Definitely Morrifield all the way, we lived near the coast in Southland and our tunnels never moved an inch, we had a 6mt polytunnel and a 4.8m Twinwall
Hi Morrifield Tunnel Houses
My sister and I have just recently purchased a 4 metre tunnel house from you.
From the time I spoke to the gentleman at your office, to it’s arrival only a few days after the order went in, to the ease at which we put the tunnel house up this morning, we couldn’t be any more delighted.
The instructional video was simple to follow and us couple of old ducks managed it without a hitch!
Thank you so much for your great service.
So glad we recommended you to two more friends who have also purchased tunnel houses from you.
Kindest regards
A great product, the missus is happy, and a bumper crop of tomatoes!

The best you can buy..
Id just like to say our morrifield tunnelhouse handled what Cyclone Gabriel threw at it and also the flooding
Have 2, 10m ones and wouldn’t be without them. Have crop protection covers on both and they don’t get too hot and are in the North. Great product and great company to deal with
We had a morrifield tunnelhouse and moved it with us over the years. 5 shifts in all. Fantastic but recommend extra window for best ventilation and a screen door.
Ours has been up for just over a year, best money Ive spent. Tomatoes and cucumbers are coming out of our ears!
I’ll vouch for these, bloody good strong and easy to build. Customer relations second to none as well.
Well I managed to get my Morrifield up today even in the rain. Im not good at this stuff but must say morrifield make it easy. Someone who is hopeless at DIY can do this and I did it myself. And my tunnelhouse is 10 meters. I already have plants in this.
Many thanks for your help in obtaining one of your Tunnelhouses. Its up and running and Im very pleased with the result. I also found the instructions easy to follow, especially with the hard work done beforehand, so once again thankyou.
Hi just to let you know that we have built our tunnelhouse. It was so easy to put up and looks amazing. Thanks for your very quick service. We are very happy with the end result. Currently standing up to some gusty winds too!
Hi guys received my 5m greenhouse a couple of weeks ago and assemble it today. My son doing most of the graft. Have to say brilliant, easy to assemble especially following the video stage by stage. Already recommended it to some mates.
I purchased a small Tunnelhouse from you a week or two ago which arrived and is safely now up. I just wanted to say how simple it was to put up. Your video was a huge help, seeing each stage made with written instructions much clearer.
Fantastic product, I love my tunnelhouse and it is so nice having fresh veges/ fruit, I’m still getting strawberries in April! Amazing, highly recommend. Thanks, Morrifield
We needed protection for our vegetable garden as we are in a very high and cold wind zone. We purchased 3 polytunnels (1x 5m and 2 x 10m) and as a kitset they were easy to put up and very accurately made. The amount we have grown has more than paid for the tunnels, so much we purchased a crop house for our brassicas, which was also fantastic to put up and use. As a product and customer service I would recommend to anyone needing a polytunnel
I have 2 x 8m tunnel houses, great support from Morrifield
I live North of Westport. We bought one from Trade tested and it was a disaster. The bits are still sitting in the barn. Then we bought a Morrifield and it was probably the best decision we made that year. Have never regretted it. Shelved the south side to grow seedlings, succulents etc and grow things on the North. Have a potting table at one end. Great! Grow heaps of stuff
Great product had mine for at least 12 years , stood up in all weathers
Ive got a Morrifield and its primo. Had a plastic panel type back in the North Island which was ok but panels blew out in strong wind. My Morrifield handles strong winds very well
I have a Morrifield Tunnelhouse and we live on a cliff with high winds. We have had ours for nearly 7 years and its amazing. I’d definitely recommend their products
We have two Morrifield’s. We live in a high/wind/rain/ occasional snow zone. They survived Cyclone Gita which we got hammered by without any injuries so you’ll definitely be good to go with one of them! Im trying to convince hubby we need a third!
I only wished I had got a bigger tunnelhouse, they are fantastic, we are in Ida Valley, Central Otago
We LOVE our greenhouse. We built standing height beds in our 5m one and I have constant supply of veg year round. We live on the West Coast of the South Island and our tunnelhouse is withstanding all our crazy weather we have here. Highly recommend.
The absolute best thing we have purchased in years. 1000 feet above sea level in north Canterbury and still have tomatoes left in July and have just picked this morning the last of the beautiful capsicum. To still have all my salad needs still at this time of the year is so good. Lettuces, Spring Onions plus Broccoli, Cabbage, Caulis, Snow peas
Love my Morrifield, the guys put it up for me, and it is still standing firm after all the storms. Eating Lettuce in Winter, along with some winter veges. Looking forward to Tomatoes and Cucumbers again this Summer. Well worth it and it will pay for itself in a few years.
